The APPEAL General Assembly, held on 5–6 November 2025 in Barcelona, was a great success. A heartfelt "thank you" goes to our host LEITAT for the excellent organisation and the inspiring venue within the scientific hub of the Parc Científic de Barcelona.
Over two intensive days, partners had the opportunity to present and discuss recent results across all work packages, take strategic decisions on the next steps, and exchange innovative ideas for the upcoming project phase.
The meeting concluded with a guided tour through the scientific park, led by Marc Masa, Head of Health & Biomedicine at LEITAT, providing valuable insights into the dynamic research environment of Barcelona.

The virology department of TUM and the Helmholtz Research Center meet on 4th and 5th August 2025 to discuss ongoing research projects and potential collaboration.

The kick-off meeting of the recently launched EU-funded project APPEAL took place in a hybrid format on 21-22 March in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, organised by Tuna Toptan Grabmair (JW Goethe-University Frankfurt am Main). The consortium of 13 partners from 6 countries appreciated the great opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss the project goals and tasks, as well as to meet most of the participants in person. We would like to thank Carlos Arauzo Burillo, our Project Officer, for his valuable presentation. The project is off to an excellent start.
